AN IB WORLD SCHOOL

Parent Community

Every family is a valued part of the community

Saint George’s has a proud tradition of productive relationships between school and home, and we consider that crucial to the success and well-being of our students.

We are a friendly school, and parents are always welcome on campus. Some volunteer to work in the Lower School classrooms; others help in the School Advancement office or help organize class trips. Many are devoted supporters of the sports teams or faithful attendees of plays, concerts, science fairs, and special events.

The Parents Association provides a forum for parents to exchange ideas through educational workshops and speakers on parenting issues. The Parents Association also organizes volunteers for events that enrich students, support teachers, and honor staff at the school. The result is a close-knit, caring community where everyone is committed to supporting the best education available in the Spokane area.

The Parents Association

The Parents Association provides a forum for parents to exchange ideas through educational workshops and speakers on parenting issues. The Parents Association also organizes volunteers for events that enrich students, support teachers, and honor staff at the school. The key mission of the Saint George’s Parents Association (PA) is to work with our teachers, staff, and administrators to promote a sense of community within the school.

This environment enables both the SGS staff and students to meet and exceed the high standards of excellence set forth by the school.

Regardless if you are a new or returning parent, we encourage you to participate in the SGS Parents Association. Opportunities for involvement within the PA are available no matter how little or great the time commitment you can make. Just let us know what kind of program, event, or activity interests you and when you are available to help.

You can make a difference!

To get involved, please contact Kara Henning at 509.999.3722 or at karahenning@me.com.

Every time I volunteer, I meet new people and feel more connected to the Saint George's community. Finding ways to be involved at school has made a positive impact on my children's learning.
