A special night at the Spokane Arena has been organized for our students and families to watch the Spokane Chiefs as a group.  Come join the fun on Friday, Feb. 22, at 7:05pm in the Spokane Arena-Section 115.  To order the $7 tickets, please go to http://spokanechiefs.com/schoolnight and click on “Saint George’s School."

The SGS girls basketball team scored a big overtime win on Feb. 12 in the NE 2B District Semifinals.  The 50-49 victory over Davenport (ranked 4th in State) sends the girls to the District Finals against Liberty (ranked 6th in State) at 5:15pm on Saturday, Feb. 16 at West Valley HS.  It also ensures they advance to the Regional Playoffs. 

The boys basketball team also earned a Semifinal win over Liberty on Feb. 12.  Their 83-69 victory puts the Dragons (ranked 2nd in State) into the District Finals against Asotin at 3:30pm on Saturday, Feb. 16 at West Valley HS.  And it qualifies them for the Regional Playoffs.

Saint George's boys and girls basketball teams captured the NE 2B District Championships on Saturday, Feb. 16 at West Valley HS.  The boys were led by senior Eric Farias, who scored 25 points in the 60-47 victory over Asotin.  The girls had senior Abby Jones to thank for 27 points in their 59-51 win over Liberty.  Both teams advance to the Regionals Round on Saturday, Feb. 23 at West Valley, with the girls playing Ocosta at 2pm and the boys playing Willapa Valley at 4pm.  See the Girls Regional/State 2B Bracket and the Boys Regional/State 2B Bracket for updated matches and results.  Go Dragons!

The SGS girls played Tekoa-Rosalia in the first round of the district playoffs on February 6, winning 52-20.  See a Photo Gallery of shots by Bob Jones of the game.

Both the SGS boys and girls varsity basketball teams advanced to the Northeast 2B District semifinal games with wins last week.  The girls defeated Tekoa-Rosalia 52-20 and Lind-Ritzville-Sprague 58-42; they play Davenport at 3:30pm on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at West Valley HS to get to the District title game at 3:45pm on Saturday, Feb. 16.  The boys also defeated Tekoa-Rosalia 91-42; they play Liberty at 6:30pm on Feb. 12 at West Valley HS to get to the District title game at 2pm on the 16th.  Winner their semifinal games also will guarantee the teams advance to Regionals.  Go Dragons!
