The Friday Night Ski Bus to Mt. Spokane returns starting Friday, Jan. 11. Please get money and permission form to Melanie Mildrew by Wednesday, Jan. 9. Then drop off skis and snowboards at Metters on Friday morning. See the Ski Bus Information Flyer for more details, and review the Ski Bus Expectations. The next Ski Bus will be Friday, Feb. 8.
Lower School Basketball Night is this Saturday, January 12. It begins with a LS Family Chili Feed and Baked Potato Bar from 4-6pm in the Dragon's Den. All family members are invited to attend the complimentary meal and enjoy social time with one another. Then cheer on the Dragons' varsity teams, who play Davenport that evening in ESAC. The girls' game begins at 4:30pm and the boys' game at 6:30pm. The Little Dragon Cheerleaders will perform at both games.

Join the Outdoor Program for an evening of cross country skiing up at the Mt. Spokane Nordic Center on Friday, Jan. 4. We will leave after school on Friday and return by 7pm. This is open to 8th through 12th graders. There is limited gear for students to borrow otherwise they need to provide their own gear -- see Mt. Spokane Nordic Ski Flyer for details. Students must sign up in their respective divisions and have the waiver filled out by their parents by Thursday, Jan. 3 to participate.

SGS sophomore Cambrie Rickard was named co-MVP of the NE 2B League for girls soccer. She was joined on the All-League 1st Team by junior Lydia Bergquist, junior Grace Harrill, and senior Maddy Christiansen, while sophomore Josie Melville received Honorable Mention. Well deserved honors to go with the Dragons' State Championship!
Lydia Bergquist was named WIAA Athlete of the Week for 2B schools statewide last week for her contribution to the SGS Girls Soccer 1B/2B State Championship on Nov. 17. The junior midfielder scored one of the goals in the Dragons’ 2-0 victory over Kalama. Congratulations, Lydia!
SGS senior Jora Gleason and sophomore Audrey Harrill were named to the NE 2B All-League 1st Team for girls cross country. They were joined by freshman Maggie McLaughlin and junior Kahlysta McKethen who received Honorable Mention for their results in the fall 2018 cross country season, including finishes at State. Run, Dragons, Run!
SGS senior Xander Werkman (center back in the photo above), who plays for the Lewis and Clark HS football team, was named to the All-GSL 4A Offensive Team. Xander also was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year for the LC team. Congratulations, Xander!
