The 5th, 6th and 7th graders enjoyed an overnight campout and hiking around the spectacular basalt formations of Steamboat Rock and Banks Lake.  See a Photo Gallery of their adventure in Central Washington on May 5-6, 2018...

Saint George's golfers played a tournament at Deer Park Golf Club on April 23 surrounded by sunshine and spring bird songs.  Maddy Christiansen finished 1st, shooting 79 and beating the 2016 and 2017 State 2B champion!  Taylor Mitchell finished 3rd, shooting 83, while Michael McCarthy had the best boys finish tied for 14th at 84.  See a Photo Gallery of their drives and putts.

The girls also played at Chewelah on Friday, April 27, where Taylor won the event and a nice trophy, with Maddy finishing 2nd.  Congratulations, Dragons!

SGS senior Cade Peplinski high jumped to a school record 6'4" at a meet in Newport, WA on April 25.  That's not only 4" higher than the old school record (and Cade's personal best), but also more than an inch higher than Cade is tall!  See the quick Video on Facebook of the record jump.  Congratulations to Cade, who will be jumping for Chapman University next year...

Three SGS seniors signed formal letters of intent on April 25 to compete for college athletic teams.  Mary Neder will run for Whitworth University, Zach Steele will play baseball for College of Idaho, and Cade Peplinski will be a track athlete at Chapman University.  See a Photo Gallery of their signing event in the Dragon Room with the family and friends who helped them celebrate...

Saint George's hosts the first round of District Baseball on Tuesday, May 1.  Teams will arrive around 11:30am with the first game played at 1pm.  SGS will play the winner of the 1st game at 4pm.

Three SGS seniors will participate in an athlete "signing ceremony" at 11:25am on Wednesday, April 25 in the Dragon Room.  Mary Neder will sign to run track at Whitworth University, Cade Peplinski will sign as a track athlete at Chapman University, and Zach Steele will sign to play baseball at the College of Idaho.  Come help these college-bound athletes celebrate their SGS careers and opportunities to compete at the next level!

The 1st Annual Baseball Tailgater will celebrate Senior Night and feature Dragon trivia questions and prizes!  The event begins at 3pm on Friday, April 27 at Saint George's Clarke Field when the Dragons host Colfax. Six graduating seniors will be honored before the start of the game: Adit Arora, Noah Halliburton-Link, Hunter Nolte, Danny Ross, Zach Steele, and Alex Watkins.  See the Tailgater Flyer for more details.

Player trivia questions and answers will be posted on the Dragon Baseball Instagram and Twitter accounts all this week for fans to memorize (@SGS_Baseball).  During the game, Bob Tyllia will ask questions and the first person to come to him with the correct answer will win a prize, such as gift cards, Dragon swag, candy, and soda.  A table also will offer free snacks for the fans, including Cracker Jacks, peanuts, chips, bubble gum, soda and water.  Come out and enjoy a great afternoon of baseball, trivia, and treats.

Paperwork and final payment for students planning to go on the Outdoor Club's Summer Climbing Trip to British Columbia, Canada are due no later than Tuesday, May 1.  Contact Melanie Mildrew with any questions...

The SGS baseball team swept Kettle Falls on Saturday, April 21, clinching the NE 2B League's North championship!  The wins also secures the Dragons home field advantage for the first playoff game on Tuesday, May 1.  Go Dragons!
