The games on Saturday, Feb. 3 in the Schmidt Center marked the last home games for three girls and four boys on the varsity basketball teams.  See a Photo Gallery of the seniors awarding roses to the coaches, family, and friends who have supported them during their athletic careers at SGS.  Then the boys' win over Wilbur-Creston earned them the Northeast 2B League championship and the opportunity to cut down the net.  See a Photo Gallery of that well-earned celebration...

Saint George's boys basketball team finished 16-0 and 1st in Northeast 2B League play with a 63-49 victory over Northwest Christian at the Holy Grail (Feb. 2) and a 65-29 win over Wilbur-Creston on Senior Night (Feb. 3).  They will play the winner of Mary Walker vs Asotin in the West Valley HS Main Gym on Thursday, Feb. 8 at a time to be announced on Feb. 7.  See the full Boys District Bracket.  

The SGS girls basketball team finished 13-3 and 2nd in NE 2B League play after a 47-45 loss to NWC at the Holy Grail on a last second 3-pointer (Feb. 2) and a 64-23 win over Wilbur-Creston on Senior Night (Feb. 3).  They will take on the winner of Mary Walker vs Lind-Ritzville-Sprague in the West Valley HS Fieldhouse on Thursday, Feb. 8 at a time to be announced on Feb. 7.  See the full Girls District Bracket.  Go Dragons!

The Outdoor Club spent the weekend of Feb. 3-4 camping on Mt. Spokane and digging snow caves.  See a Photo Gallery of their activity and fun in the snow...

The 7th and 8th graders spent a sunny day cross country skiing on Mt. Spokane on Jan. 30.  See a Photo Gallery of them enjoying the exercise and taking some occasional falls...

 

The Outdoor Club is headed to Mount Spokane State Park on Saturday, Feb. 3 and Sunday, Feb. 4 to learn to make snow caves.  This trip is open to 8th-12th grade students.  See the Snowcaves Flyer on the website for details; payment and waiver are due by Jan. 31...

Cheer on the Dragons as they compete against Northwest Christian for the coveted Holy Grail Spirit Award on Friday, Feb. 2 in the Schmidt Center Gym.  Our theme this year is the movie "Grease" with dance and spirit competitions between and during the girls basketball game at 6:00pm and the boys game at 7:30pm.  Help us defend the spirit trophy -- Go Dragons!

Four members of the 2017 Saint George's School girls’ soccer team and seven members of the boys’ soccer team have received All-State honors from the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association (WSSCA).  Plus for the second year in a row, Mitchell Ward was named Soccer MVP for all boys in 2B-1B schools in the WSSCA coaches poll!  See the full list of Girls & Boys 2B-1B All-State honors...
