Saint George's boys' soccer team captured the State Academic Championship with a team grade point average of 3.335.  The girls' soccer team was just short of earning their own state title with an impressive 3.756 GPA.  Overall, SGS fall athletic teams averaged a 3.557 GPA.  Go Dragons! 

The Lower School cross country team hosted a meet on the SGS campus on Friday afternoon, Oct. 13.  What started as a rainy day cleared up for the runners from a variety of local schools.  See a Photo Gallery of several of the races that afternoon...

Congratulations to the SGS boys' and girls' varsity cross country teams, who both won their NE2B League championships at the meet in Harrington on Saturday, Oct. 21.  Jora Gleason won the girls race with a time of 19:48, followed by Mary Neder, Audrey Harrill, and Kahlysta McKethen.  The boys were paced by Hunter Johnson (18:04) in 5th place overall, followed by Kai Jacobs, Alex Watkins, Nick Watkins, and Max Richardson.  The boys managed to take the team victory in spite of a wrong turn on the course that forced them to backtrack and added about 40 seconds to their times...

Congratulations to Kylie Dilbeck (3rd grade), Maggie Morris (4th), and Regan Thomas (4th) for qualifying to run in the All-City Cross-Country Meet on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Franklin Park...

The SGS JV volleyball team hosted Northwest Christian in the Schmidt Center on Oct. 10.  See a Photo Gallery of their team in action on the SGS website...

Each fall, MS Physical Education teacher Jim Tuck sets up an "Amazing Race" around campus for the 8th graders.  See a Photo Gallery of the race on October 4, the teams (winners give a thumbs up), and cleaning up the course and hauling back the canoes afterwards...

The SGS girls' soccer team hosted Riverside on Sept. 15, while the boys' varsity soccer team welcomed Immaculate Conception on Sept. 29.  See photo galleries of both games...

SGS 8th grader James Gunn traveled to Madrid, Spain in mid-September to participate in an international soccer tournament.  The 32 invited teams were among the world's best academy teams in the U14 age group.  See how his team from Seattle did...
