The 9th grade class loaded up and headed out on the morning of Tuesday, August 28 for a three-day campout to Upper Priest Lake -- their annual start of school "bonding" trip!  See photo galleries of them Loading the Bus and of their Priest Lake Campout on the SGS website.

The seniors began their year with an overnight stay at Camp Reed, which included time on a challenging ropes course.  See a Photo Gallery of the three teams of seniors encouraging each other and enjoying a beautiful late summer afternoon.  It was a great place to bond as a class and build their confidence!

On the Saint George's Story Trail during August, you can read the Caldecott honored tale of "Blueberries for Sal" by Robert McCloskey.  The story tells of a little girl, Sal, and her mother as they pick blueberries for winter, while a bear cub and his mother are eating berries for winter on the other side of the same hill. 

The Story Trail begins just inside the school's front gates and winds up the hillside through bushes and trees before descending to the Davenport House.  The trail is open weekdays from dawn until dusk, and occasionally on weekends when there is an event on campus.  Visitors are welcome to hike the trail anytime the gates are open.  Keep up on future books through the SGS Story Trail Facebook Page.

New families were introduced to Saint George's with a float down the Little Spokane River on Saturday, August 18.  See a Photo Gallery of the colorful boats and paddlers.

The Rocketry Summer Camp students finished off their week with a launching party at Sky Prairie Park on Five Mile.  See a Video and Photo Gallery of the rockets' aerial exploits!

The SGS Outdoor Club's summer trip was to Skaha in British Columbia for some awesome rock climbing during the middle of June.  See a Photo Gallery of the students hanging out on the rocky walls!

A camera aimed at Saint George's front gates has caught a variety of wildlife this spring.  See a 2-minute Wildlife Video featuring deer, turkey, coyote, more deer, bear, cougar, and raccoon!

The Rocketry Summer Camp students finished off their week in mid-July with a launching party at Sky Prairie Park on Five Mile. On the Saint George's Story Trail during July, you can read the classic tale of "Miss Rumphius" by Caldicott Award-winner Barbara Cooney.  The story is about Alice Rumphius, known as the Lupine Lady for scattering lupine seeds that now bloom along the coast of Maine each year.

The Upper School May Term "Spring Out" class and their 6th grade buddies launched into the Little Spokane River on June 4 with plenty of noise and splashing.  Then they picked up trash as they floated down the river on a beautiful morning!  See a Video and Photo Gallery of them taking off from campus...
