The May Term "Spring Outback" class went camping, canoeing and climbing at Banks Lake in Central Washington at the end of May.  See the Video They Created and a Photo Gallery of shots from their adventures.  Don't you wish this was your high school class?

It's been a beautiful spring on the Saint George's campus.  Here is a Photo Gallery of some of the colors that have brightened up the school over the past week or two...

The 6th grade released the trout fingerlings, which have been growing in their classroom aquarium, into Bear Lake on May 7, 2018. They also learned about fish biology and raptors from local experts at the fish release event.  See a Photo Gallery of the trout release and related activities...

The 5th, 6th and 7th graders enjoyed an overnight campout and hiking around the spectacular basalt formations of Steamboat Rock and Banks Lake.  See a Photo Gallery of their adventure in Central Washington on May 5-6, 2018...

Paperwork and final payment for students planning to go on the Outdoor Club's Summer Climbing Trip to British Columbia, Canada are due no later than Tuesday, May 1.  Contact Melanie Mildrew with any questions...

The SGS Outdoor Club had a great time climbing at Smith Rocks State Park in Eastern Oregon over spring break.  See a Photo Gallery of their very impressive climbs on these beautiful rock formations...

The Outdoor Club is leading a spring break trip April 2-6 to Smith Rocks in Eastern Oregon, a world-class climbing destination.  Students in grades 8-12 will experience all aspects of climbing, including top-roping, what it means to lead, and possibly bouldering.  See the Website Flyer for all the details.  Waivers will be on PowerSchool and students can sign up by filling out the waiver on PowerSchool and bringing in their payment to Melanie Mildrew by Tuesday, March 20.  Contact Melanie or Judson Ford for more information...

The Outdoor Club is offering a camping opportunity to Steamboat Rock State Park Campground for students in grades 5-7 on May 5-6.  Students will be introduced to basic camp craft skills and hiking in Northrup Canyon and Steamboat Rock.  This trip can accommodate up to 15 students, so if you are interested, please sign up quickly.  For more information, please see the Website Flyer...

The SGS Outdoor Club spent the weekend of Feb. 3-4 on Mt. Spokane building snow caves.  Here is a Time Lapse Video of how to build a snow cave in 3 minutes -- if you work very, very quickly!
