Sophomores were back in the Ceramics Studio this past week creating pots from long coils of clay.  See a Photo Gallery of their creative activity.

The 2D Studio Art Class (at home and in the classroom) has been taking a photo, cutting it into squares, rearranging the pieces, and then drawing the overall fractured image using shading to show the values.  See a Photo Gallery of some of their drawings.

5th Grade Drummers in Action

Inktober Drawings on Display

SGS students are participating in the "Inktober" activity, drawing ink sketches based on a specific prompt.  See a Photo Gallery of Lower and Middle School student drawings on display in the entrance gallery of the new Arts Building.

The 4th graders painted mini-pumpkins with Halloween themes, which were then delivered to the Rockwood Retirement Center near Whitworth.  See a Photo Gallery of their creative pumpkins.

Ode to Autumn Photos

On September 22nd, Judi Morgan’s Advisory students took advantage of the beautiful weather to go outside and document something that spoke to them as a celebration of the end of Summer and the beginning of Autumn.  See a Photo Gallery of their photos.

See 3rd Grade in Art Class

On their first day back on campus, the 3rd graders enjoyed painting in the new Art Classroom.  See a Photo Gallery of them getting started on a project.

The 2nd graders roamed around campus when it wasn't so smoky taking photos of nature with their tablets for a science lesson.  See a Photo Gallery of them exploring the variety of plants and animals on campus.

The Kindergarten students were the first ones to have an art class in the new Arts Building on Sept. 8.  Several of their classmates participated from home, decorating their own cardboard box of art supplies.  See a Photo Gallery of the littlest Dragons in the newest classroom on campus!
