10th grader Sydney Lennemann has been selected to serve as a Page for the Washington State Senate during the Week of March 5th. Along with assisting Senators and staff with important work during the legislative session in Olympia, Sydney will attend Page School where students learn about the Legislature and the political process. The Battle of the Holy Grail pitted the Dragons (themed as Grease) against the Crusaders (themed as Space Jam). Saint George's was loud and proud, but Northwest Christian won the Holy Grail spirit award this time. Congratulations to Betsy Cowles (SGS Class of '80 and alumni parent) and Michael Senske (current SGS parent and V.P. of the SGS board of trustees) who are leading two of the largest statewide business advocacy organizations for 2018. Cowles is chair of the Seattle-based Washington Roundtable, while Senske chairs the Association of Washington Business based in Olympia. This is Spirit Week (Jan. 29 - Feb. 2) in the Middle and Upper Schools to generate excitement for this Friday's Battle for the Holy Grail spirit contest. Daily dress-up competitions include Monday as PJ's Day, Tuesday is Twin Day, Wild West on Wednesday, Tie Dye on Thursday, and the "Grease" theme on Friday with a spirit convocation in ESAC.
