Chess Players Grab "Frosty Pawn" Trophies

January 08, 2018

The Frosty Pawn youth chess tournament on January 6 was small, as many schools were still on holiday last week. Five Saint George's students were among the 35 players, and three won trophies.  Eshan Reddy was perfect, winning all five games to place 1st in the lower section.  In the upper section, Rohan Dhillon (3.5) won 1st place in fifth grade and tied for 4th overall with a ninth grader.  Robbie Witmer (2.0) won 1st in sixth grade, while Preston Sevigny and Adrian Rooney also participated.  Go Dragons!
