Knowledge Bowl Places 3rd at State

The 2018 Saint George’s Knowledge Bowl varsity team included seniors Adit Arora, Cate Caporicci, Delaney Ennis, Max Mihalick, Max Richardson, and junior Will Rieger.  This year’s coaches were Steve Gavin and Robert Tyllia.  

The team competed in five local competitions, against 31 teams from schools of all sizes, finishing tied for 5th place.  At the Washington State regional competition at Whitworth University, SGS finished in 1st place and qualified for the State 2B Championship held in Arlington, WA on March 17.  

After five grueling preliminary rounds at State, the team qualified for the championship rounds.  SGS won the first championship round, qualifying for the final round.  The final round went to a set of tie-breaker questions and the Saint George’s Dragons finished in 3rd place overall at State.  Congratulations on an outstanding season -- Go Dragons!
