Golf Season Opens with Dragon Medalists

SGS golf coach Brad Kirsch reports that the NE 1B/2B golf season finally got started at Dominion Meadows Golf Course on April 9.  They played 9 holes, and it was great to get outside at last on a wet but playable course.  Saint George’s, Northwest Christian, Chewelah, Tekoa-Rosalia, Davenport, Cusick, Kettle Falls, Harrington, Lind-Ritzville-Sprague, Wilbur-Creston, and Asotin were represented.

On the boys side, Michael McCarthy of SGS used an eagle 3 on #15 to shoot 37 and take top medalist honors.  Levi Veenstra of Northwest Christian shot 38 to finish 2nd, and Carson Odegaard of Wilbur-Creston finished 3rd with a 39.  On the girls side, Maddy Christiansen of SGS shot 43 to finish 1st, Avery Arnold of Chewelah shot 45 to finish 2nd, and Liv Senske of Saint George’s finished 3rd, shooting 52.  Go Dragons!
