Girls Doubles Team Advances to State Tennis Championships

Saint George's #1 girls doubles team of Grace Generous and Maria Madero took 4th place at Regionals on Friday, May 17 at Whitworth's indoor courts after rain forced the action inside.  They advance to the State Championships in Yakima this coming weekend.  SGS boys doubles team of Nik Chaudhry and Ethan Wu played well, but did not advance against tough competition from 1A schools.  The boys doubles team of Aidan Reichel and Tariq Ravasia were one of the only teams at Regionals without a senior player.  "I believe they were the youngest team at Regionals, which feels very promising for their upcoming seasons!" says coach Meghan Anderson.  And Daniel Zhao battled through a knee injury for his final game as an SGS tennis player.  Congratulations to all of the Dragons who competed at Regionals!
