Generous & Madero Play at State Tennis Championships

Maria Madero and Grace Generous represented Saint George’s with class and heart as they competed against some of the state's best players at the 2B Tennis State Championships in Yakima last week. The girls lost their first game against #1 seed Chimacum; 1-6, 0-6. The girls then had a hard-fought battle with Naches Valley’s #1 Doubles Team, losing 4-6, 5-7, with several of the games going into deuce.  The venue was beautiful, and the girls had the opportunity to play on the #1 court right next to the clubhouse.  The two were most excited for their State Sweatshirts, says coach Matt Melka, which they were proud to show off in the Photo Gallery of shots from the championships.
