Time to Practice for the PSAT

SGS students in grades 8-11 will take the PSAT test on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at school.  For juniors, the test determines eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship.  For other students, the test helps the school gauge their progress toward college readiness.  Students have been given practice booklets in their school mailboxes to go through, and they can use Khan Academy to get free, customized lessons to prep for the PSAT and SAT.  Now is the time to practice for the test so they will be prepared and more comfortable on testing day.  If parents or students have questions, please contact Kerry Clark (Director of College Counseling) or Happy Avery, the newest member of the college counseling team.
