Cross Country Teams Finish 1st & 2nd at District

The SGS boys' and girls' Cross County teams ran tough and competitive at the District 7 Championship race at Harrington Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 26.  The girls scored a 49-50 victory to win the team title, and the boy's finished a solid 2nd in their race.  Girls were led by Clara Witmer in 9th place in 22:23.96 while the boy's top finisher was Dan Rigsby in 5th at 17:19.32.  Both teams advance to Regionals at Chewelah on Nov. 2.  

Congrats to girls' team runners Clara, Alli Dixon, Audrey Harrill, Kahlysta McKethen, Maggie McLaughlin, Kala Reaves and Taylor Sande, and to the boys' team of Dan, Alex Anderson, Alec Bunn, Kyley Doughty, Chaitanya Nalluri, Luke Whitman, Nick Watkins and Finley Wolff.
