Cross Country Teams Run 1st & 2nd at Regional Meet

The SGS boys' and girls' Cross County teams repeated their District 7 results at the District 7/9 Regional Championship race at Chewelah Golf Course on Saturday, Nov. 2.  The girls again took 1st place, 10 points ahead of Kettle Falls, for the team title, and the boy's again finished a solid 2nd behind Asotin in their race.  The top girls were Ashley Sande in 12th place in 21:40.51 and Clara Witmer in 15th place in 22:03.30.   Dan Rigsby was the boy's top finisher in 4th at 17:19.68 followed by Nick Watkins at 9th in 17:38.45.  Both teams advance to the State Championships in Pasco on Saturday, Nov. 9.  Go Dragons!
