Girls Cross Country Finishes 3rd at State; Boys Are 11th

After winning District and Regional titles, the SGS girls' Cross Country team posted their best times at the 2B/1B State Championships in Pasco on Nov. 9, taking home the 3rd place trophy.  Taylor Sande finished 21st overall in a time of 21:02, followed by Audrey Harrill (26th in 21:16), Clara Witmer (37th in 21:33), Maggie McLaughlin (48th in 22:11), and Kala Reaves (54th in 22:25).  Kahlysta McKethen (87th in 23:27) and Alli Dixon (101st in 24:44) rounded out the team.  See a Photo Gallery of shots from the championships by Jayne McLaughlin.  

The boys' Cross Country team placed 11th at State, paced by Dan Rigsby in 18th place at 17:02.  The rest of the team included Nick Watkins (54th in 17:47), Alec Bunn (74th in 18:09), Finley Wolff (93rd in 18:25), Chaitanya Nalluri (127th in 19:05), Kelsey Doughty (142nd in 19:24), and Luke Whitman (143rd in 19:24).  Here's a Photo Gallery of the boys' race as well.  Congratulations to both teams on a great season!
