Students Gather for WE Day in Seattle

WE Day is a celebration of youth making a difference in their local and global communities.  Together with WE Schools, a year-long program, they offer young people the tools and the inspiration to take social action, empower others and transform lives, including their own.  This year Saint George's sent 14 students and staff to the WE Day celebration in Seattle.  SGS students had the opportunity to listen to a variety of speakers discussing issues such as bullying, child soldiers in war, empowerment of women and many other crucial topics.  "Our students were inspired and encouraged to take action in their school, their communities, nationally and globally," says ASB Advisor Mark Rickard.  For more information, go to www.we.org.
