Moon Named US Presidential Scholars Candidate

February 18, 2020

Kathryn Moon, a member of the Class of 2020 at Saint George’s School, has been named a candidate for the 2020 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.  She is the only high school student in the Greater Spokane Area, including north Idaho, who was named a candidate this year.  This elite program is one of the highest honors a high school student can receive.  Candidates for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program are selected based on their academic achievements, including a 4.0 cumulative GPA, and national testing performance on the SAT or ACT exam.  This is an honor bestowed upon only 4,500 high school students out of 3.6 million nationwide.  Later this spring, 161 students nationwide will be selected to receive the U.S. Presidential Scholars Medallion at a June ceremony at the White House in Washington DC.  Congratulations, Kathryn!
