US Musicians Honored at State Solo & Ensemble

Anna Nowland and Mickey Zhang both earned 3rd Place in State in their solo categories, and the SGS Choir had another outstanding year at the State Solo & Ensemble Competition in Ellensburg on April 28-29.  Anna was second runner up in the Mezzo-Soprano Division, while Mickey took the same honor in the Bass Division.  Other performances that earned Superior or Superior Plus honors included the full SGS Choir, a duet sung by Anna and Mickey, Hunter Hyde (Tenor) and Sarah Wu (Piano).  See a Photo Gallery from the State competition.  This is the second year in a row that Saint George' music program has garnered more awards than any other high school program of any size from Eastern Washington.  Congratulations, Musical Dragons!
