Two Present Papers at History Day

Alli Dixon and Winnie Wu both presented research papers for Regional History Day at EWU on Saturday, March 7.  Alli presented a paper on the strategies used by the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan to achieve greater freedom.  Alli's paper took 3rd in the Senior Paper category for high school students.  Winnie’s paper weighed the various negative and positive economic effects of the Opium Wars in China.  Both students presented their work to panels of professors and graduate students and answered questions about their work.  Top papers will move on to the National History Day competition.
