6th Grade Races Cardboard Boats

After studying water resources -- from dams and fish hatcheries to river ecology -- the 6th grade class had one final project.  They built boats out of cardboard big enough for a student to ride in, then took them out to the Little Spokane River to race their creations on Tuesday, June 6.  See a Photo Gallery and a Video of Races featuring the winning boat and the happy, soggy students on their final day of class!  (Plus, see a gallery of the 6th Graders Floating down the Little Spokane with the May Term "Spring Out" class to clean up the river.)
