Christiansen Qualifies for Idaho Golf Championships

SGS incoming junior Maddy Christiansen has won the Idaho Junior Golf Title for District 4 at The Links Golf Course in Post Falls and qualified for the Idaho State Championships at McCall, Idaho on August 15-16.  She shot 80 the first day and 75 on day two, her best score in any tournament, to win by 8 shots!  Maddie has the second lowest total going into the state tournament after winning two of the four Idaho tournaments that she entered.  

She also finished 5th at districts for Washington Junior Golf at Palouse Ridge in Pullman earlier this summer, missing out on a trip to state by 2 shots.  "Maddie has put a ton of work into her game this summer, and it is paying off in a big way," says coach Brad Kirsch, who expects big things from Maddie her last two years at SGS.
