February 27, 2017

Senior Cody Cao, junior Connor Cremers, and sophomore Yao You have all qualified for the American Invitational Math Exam (AIME). Cody and Connor qualified with high scores on the 75-minute American Mathematics Competition (AMC 12) test, while Yao scored high on the AMC 10 test. The AMC 10 test is on elementary algebra, basic geometry, and elementary number theory and probability. The AMC 12 covers the entire high school math curriculum except calculus. The AIME is the next competition in a series under the Mathematical Association of America that eventually leads all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad.
