Chess Club Begins in October

The SGS Chess Club is open to grades 1-8 and meets once a week after school in the Lower School Multipurpose Room (downstairs next to 5th Grade) October through April.  Students can try Chess Club at no cost through October.  After that, if they decide to join, their student account will be billed $200.  Beginning Players meet Tuesdays from 3:15–4:15 pm beginning Oct. 3.  Advanced Players (those who competed in chess tournaments last year) meet Thursdays from 3:15–4:30 pm beginning Oct. 5.  See the Chess Club Flyer on the website's Parents / Documents and Bulletins page for more details.
