Dragons Earn WSMTA Piano Recital Awards

SGS ninth grader Sarah Wu was one of two winners at the Washington State Music Teachers Association (WSMTA) Spokane Chapter state recitalist piano competition on Sunday, Feb. 26. She played "The Lark" by Glinka/Balakirew, and will perform at the WSMTA State Conference Honors Recital in June at Shoreline Community College near Seattle. Other Saint George's students earning awards at the competition included Solveig Baylor (11th grade) as 1st Alternate, Rebecca Tran (9th grade) as 4th alternate, while Lucy Yan (9th grade) and Anna Nowland (12th grade) received Honorable Mention.
