7th Graders Are "Water Warriors" for a Day

October 30, 2017

The 7th graders went to the Spokane River on Oct. 24, where they learned about environmental impacts on the watershed. They looked at riparian restoration work done in the area and discussed non-point pollution and how it enters the watershed. Then they picked up trash and hiked 2.5 miles to Bowl and Pitcher to learn about storm gardens and how they mitigate non-point pollution. They concluded the day looking at the Country Homes storm garden area.  Here is a Photo Gallery of some of their activities that day.
