Chess Players Advance at Pilgrims Progress

The Pilgrim's Progress chess tournament at Saint George's School drew in 81 players from the region, the largest chess tournament in the area other than state in the past seven years.  Eight SGS players participated - see a Photo Gallery of them surveying their boards. 

Per Sande won 1st in the K-6 section with 4.5/5. Eshan Reddy (3.0) won 1st place in second grade for the third time this year. Robby Witmer scored 3.0, qualifying for the state championship.  The team score put SGS in 4th place behind Libby, Hope Lutheran Home School group, and First Presbyterian.
