Dragon Soccer Players Earn All-State Honors

Four members of the 2017 Saint George's School girls’ soccer team and seven members of the boys’ soccer team have received All-State honors from the Washington State Soccer Coaches Association (WSSCA).  The honors were voted on by coaches from 2B-1B schools across the state.

Three girls received First Team honors: Lydia Bergquist (10th grade, forward), Cambrie Rickard (9th grade, midfielder), and Mary Neder (12th grade, defender).  In addition, Maddy Christiansen (11th grade, midfielder) received Second Team recognition.

Four boys received First Team honors: Cade Peplinski (12th grade, forward), Mitchell Ward (12th grade, midfielder), Noah Halliburton-Link (12th grade, defender), and Conner Cremers (12th grade, defender).  In addition, Noah Galow (10th grade, midfielder), Oscar Angell (10th grade, defender), and Zach Steele (12th grade, defender) earned Second Team All-State honors.

For the second year in a row, Mitchell Ward was named Soccer MVP for all boys in 2B-1B schools in the WSSCA coaches poll.  See the full list of Girls & Boys 2B-1B All-State honors. 

Both Saint George’s soccer teams won the Northeast District title and finished 2nd in State.  The boys team also earned the Academic State Championship for the highest grade point average among all 2B-sized schools.
