Girls Earn 6th Place Trophy at State 2B

The SGS girls' team faced league foe Colfax on March 3 in a State 2B consolation round game at the Spokane Arena.  Paced by Hailey Higashi's 24 point barrage, the Dragons defeated the Bulldogs 52-42.  One concern was a knee injury to Lydia Bergquist.  Then the girls battled #1 seeded Dayton in the State 2B Tournament's trophy round on March 4, but came up short 48-44.  See the final Girls State 2B Bracket Results.  They finished the season at 23-5 overall and earned the 6th Place trophy.  Go Dragons!
