Food Drive Nets 2 1/2 Tons

Generosity of Spirit was in abundance during the 2nd Harvest Food Drive.  SGS contributed 5,070 pounds of food.  Congratulations to the fifth-grade class who remain the heavy-weight champs by collecting 1,016 pounds of food -- more than 50 lbs per student!  They will have the opportunity to tour the 2nd Harvest Food Bank facility.  The real winners are those who will benefit from your generosity and kindness.  Thank you!

• Kindergarten = 60/16 = 3.75 lbs per person

• 1st Grade = 144/11 = 13.1 lbs per person

• 2nd Grade = 201/17 = 11.8 lbs per person

• 3rd Grade = 402/16 = 25.1 lbs per person

• 4th Grade = 470/23 = 20.4 lbs per person

• 5th Grade = 1016/20 = 50.8 lbs per person

• 6th Grade = 241/27 = 8.9 lbs per person

• 7th Grade = 135/26 = 5.2 lbs per person

• 8th Grade = 324/33 = 9.8 lbs per person

• 9th Grade = 72/30 = 2.4 lbs per person

• 10th Grade = 186/46 = 4.0 lbs per person
