Operation Christmas Child Collecting this Week

The Operation Christmas Child Drive is well underway.  The mission of the international relief organization, Samaritan's Purse, is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with Christmas presents.  The recipients of the shoeboxes are children outside the US that are affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.  A display table with boxes is set up in the LS front hallway and in front of Founders Theater.  The drive ends this Friday, Nov. 9.  Contact Azira Sande or see the SG Magazine Article to learn more about this way to reach out to children in need.
