Girls Soccer Wins State Semifinals, Return to Title Game

November 16, 2018

Saint George's girls soccer team's relentless offense overwhelmed Liberty Bell for a 4-1 victory in the State Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 16.  Cambrie Rickard had two scores, with additional goals from Lydia Bergquist and Grace Harrill.  The first two goals were off corner kicks by Maddy Christiansen, putting the Dragons up 2-0 at the half.  The Dragons will play the winner of the other semifinal between Kalama and Adna in the State Championship Game at 2pm on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner, WA.  This marks the third straight year the SGS girls soccer team has played in the State title game; they won State in 2016 and finished 2nd last year.
