January 22, 2019
Saint George's Middle and Upper Schools gathered on Tuesday, Jan. 22 to hear two students speak about what Martin Luther King Jr. means to them. Seventh graders Lila Rigsby and Gabby Haigh spoke about their own experiences and what they've learned from Dr. King's examples of non-violence and direct action. You can read Lila's Full Speech and Gabby's Full Speech on the SGS website. Also see a video with Excerpts from Their Speeches, also including faculty members Jamie Nolting and Seth Coleman reading selections from MLK's "Letter from Birmingham Jail."
