Six senior artists have their International Baccalaureate artworks displayed around the Upper School through the end of March.  See a Photo Gallery of their installations, and look for their exhibits in the Art Gallery, Library, Library conference room, Biology class greenhouse, and Courtyard in front of Founders Theater.

You are invited to the annual Lower School Variety Show on Thursday, March 21 at 1pm in Founders Theater.  Enjoy a varied selection of talent to be shared on stage, and the teachers even have a surprise in store!  Come join in the fun!

The Lower School Variety Show on March 21 featured students performing music, dance, and martial arts in Founders Theater.  See a Photo Gallery of all the performers, as well as a Video Medley of their acts and a special video of the Dragons' Water Follies.  

The comedy "Noises Off" filled the stage of Founders Theater for three nights (March 14-16) with on-stage confusion, backstage squabbles, and plenty of laughs!  See a Photo Gallery from the comic situations that resulted from what director Jean Hardie called "an actor’s and director’s nightmare come true."

When a provincial theatrical troupe goes on tour, anything can happen… on stage and off!  See the comic results in the SGS production of "Noises Off" at 7pm on Thursday, March 14, on Friday, March 15, and on Saturday, March 16 in Founder Theater.  The show is free and open to the public.

"Noises Off" is regarded as one of the funniest plays ever written about being in a play, says director Jean Hardie.  "It’s an actor’s and director’s nightmare come true."  So come enjoy an evening of comic situations provided by nine talented SGS actors. 

Upper School art students drew sketches from photographs of Syrian orphans who grew up in refugee camps in the Middle East.  See a Photo Gallery of the artists and their drawings, which will be delivered as a special gift to the refugees this month.

Four SGS student pianists performed on March 9 in a pair of honors recitals of students from the previous week's State Recitalist Competition.  11th grader Sarah Wu was one of three State Recitalist winners, and she played "La Soiree dans Grenade" by Debussy in the concert at the Spokane Valley Steinway Center.  4th grader Adam Ling, 6th grader Oliver Ling, and 11th grader Lucy Yan also performed pieces at the honors concerts.  The concerts were organized by the Spokane Music Teacher Association's Music Artistry Program with the top students from the 300 competitors at the State Recitalist Competition on March 2.  Congratulations!

The Upper School photography class has printed out and displayed their best work in the Art Gallery.  From nature to portraits to still life to stop motion, there are plenty of amazing photos to see in this exhibit that will run through February.  See a Photo Gallery of some of the images and stop by to enjoy them all!

Sarah Wu competed in the State Recitalist piano competition at the Steinway Piano Gallery on March 3 and was one of the three winners.  She will perform in the Honor's Recital at the same location on March 9 and receive a cash prize.  Fellow 11th grader Lucy Yan also competed and was named third alternate.  Congratulations to Sarah and Lucy!
