Inspired by the USA Women's World Cup victory, and Saint George's own girls soccer state champions, the summer Soccer Camp for boys and girls in grades 6-12 was a popular activity.  See a Photo Gallery of them running around the field in mid-July.

To finish their study of rivers, the 6th graders created cardboard boats that they got to race in the Little Spokane River on June 4, 2019.  See photo galleries of Each Team's Boat and of the Cardboard Boat Races, as well as a Video of the Races.  Some lasted multiple races; some didn't last as long as they hoped!

Brothers Michael and Patrick McCarthy both competed at the 2B State Golf Tournament in Tumwater on May 21-22.  They played well enough to bring home the 4th place trophy for the SGS boys golf team!  Michael finished 9th overall, shooting 82/78 and Patrick finished 18th, shooting 87/86.  "It is the first team trophy on the boys side since a 4th place in 2015," says coach Brad Kirsch.  "The boys made a couple of clutch putts at the end of their rounds to keep us in it."

Congratulations as well to Liv Senske, who also competed at State.  "Liv had the second best round she has ever shot in a tournament, but missed the cut by 4 shots.  She played great!"  See a Photo Gallery of the golfers in action and holding their hardware.
