Picture retakes will be Tuesday, October 30 from 10:30am to 1:30pm at the Davenport House patio.   If your student needs a retake, please have them stop by sometime between these times.  Students that were absent on picture day will have their picture taken on this day as well; let your child's division assistant know if you need an order form.

There are only two weeks left of our 5-Week Parent Drive.  So far, 59% of families have donated to the Annual Fund.  Last year 75% of families contributed to the drive.  If you would like to donate in person this week, there will be Annual Fund tables set up during conferences.  Take a donation envelope and leave it with Melanie Gee, Michelle Bledsoe, or Paige Halliburton.  You also can head to www.sgs.org/give to contribute today!  Together we can Power the Dragon!

We have one more week to collect food items for the 2nd Harvest "Scare Away Hunger" Food Drive, which ends Friday, Nov. 2.  Donations of money can also be made to the division assistants.  The Upper School leadership team chose the winners of the best decorated food bins for grades K-2 and 3-5.  Congratulations to the 1st grade class who won a waffle party in the Middle School, and to the 4th graders who will receive a special treat from Melanie Mildrew.  Thank you for supporting our Spokane community!

A variety of yellows, oranges, and reds have added to the beauty of the Saint George's campus these past few weeks.  Here is a Photo Gallery of some of the most colorful bushes and trees around the school.

Saint George's "Scare Away Hunger" food drive for Second Harvest begins Monday, October 15 and runs until Monday, November 5.  The grade that brings in the most pounds of food per person in that class will win the heavyweight belt.  There are also competitions within the divisions. Please bring in canned or non-perishable food and "scare away hunger" in Spokane!

TEDxSpokane 2018 brought speakers to the Bing Theater in downtown Spokane with big ideas worth sharing around the theme of "Beyond Ourselves".  See a Photo Gallery of the speakers and audience at this Oct. 6 event sponsored (and originated) by Saint George's School.
